While some orphans are still out of school during the nation-wide pandemic restrictions, they need food and sanitizers to keep them healthy.

All schools in Uganda were forced to close temporarily in March 2020 due to nation-wide pandemic restrictions. Schools are reopening on a staggered and shortened schedule. When they are not in school, VOH orphans are staying in the homes of their guardians until they are allowed to return to school for the regular schedule.
